DASH Program Announced to Employees

Chris Cimino, Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, announced the DASH project in an email to UT Knoxville employees on Friday, June 10. The text of Senior Vice Chancellor Cimino’s email is listed below:

Division of Finance and Administration

Dear colleagues,

The university is working to streamline its financial and human resources processes together on a single modernized platform. Over the next two years, the UT System will lead an effort, working with all campuses, to migrate to a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that will replace IRIS. The target date for the new system rollout is summer 2024.

In addition to standardizing and streamlining processes, the new system will provide better data reporting and decision-making, improved security and accessibility, and a better user experience.

IRIS, the university’s current HR and financial system, is phasing out support in 2025. The university will use Oracle Cloud as the platform for the new system, which will be called DASH. The UT System is leading the implementation across all campuses.

Visit the UT Knoxville ERP website for more information specific to our campus, including a FAQ about the new system and how it will benefit you. Contact erp_project@utk.edu with additional questions.

Training opportunities will be provided as we get closer to implementation and learn more about the new system. Additional information will be shared throughout the course of the project.

Thank you for your patience and support as we embark on this transition. Chris Cimino
Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
