Focus Group Meetings

Prior to the software selection, UT System Administration decided to have a period of business process review as part of the effort to plan and prepare for the new ERP and engaged the Accenture Consulting group to lead this effort. UT System Administration asked for campus and institute representatives, and over 100 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from UT, Knoxville, UT Institute of Agriculture, and UT Space Institute were identified to participate.

As part of the business process review, the campus and institute SMEs were engaged in a series of Focus Group meetings, led by the Accenture team, in Spring 2021. The Focus Group meetings were organized by financial and HR business process areas, such as General Ledger and Recruit to Hire.  The Focus Group meetings allowed the campus and institute SMEs to describe pain points and identify areas that might provide opportunities for improvement.
